Welcome to Klavierhaus New York. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the services provided by Klavierhaus New York, including but not limited to piano restoration, sales, and warranty services. By accessing or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
Definitions
"Klavierhaus" refers to Klavierhaus and its authorized representatives and dealer partners."Instrument" refers to any piano or related musical instrument sold, restored, or serviced by Klavierhaus."Warranted Area" refers to the fifty United States and the District of Columbia.
LIMITED WARRANTY
At Klavierhaus, we take pride in the uncompromising quality of our instruments and the meticulous craftsmanship invested in every restoration and hand-prepared piano. Our instruments are sold exclusively through our authorized representatives and trusted dealer partners. We are pleased to provide the Original Owner with the following Limited Warranty, which applies solely to pianos that have been (1) purchased directly from Klavierhaus or one of our authorized affiliates, (2) restored by Klavierhaus and it's authorized partners, and (3) used exclusively within the fifty United States and the District of Columbia (“Warranted Area”).We encourage you to review the terms of this Limited Warranty carefully. If you have any questions, please contact your Klavierhaus representative or our Service Department directly.Warranty CoverageOur warranty covers defects in materials or workmanship for 5 years from the original purchase date, under normal, recommended use. During this period, Klavierhaus will, at its discretion, repair or replace any defective part free of charge. Additionally, labor costs, such as regulation and voicing, are covered for 1 year from the original purchase date.This includes reasonable on-site servicing by an approved Klavierhaus technician or affiliate. Any replacement parts may be new, reconditioned, or refurbished to Klavierhaus standards. If replacement of the entire instrument is deemed necessary, a comparable restored or pre-owned instrument of equal or greater quality may be substituted.
Exclusions from Coverage
This warranty does not cover:
Damage resulting from misuse, neglect, accident, acts of nature, or exposure to improper environmental conditions (e.g., excessive dryness, humidity, or temperature fluctuations).
Unauthorized repair, service, or modification performed by individuals not expressly approved by Klavierhaus New York.
Damage during transport not performed or arranged by Klavierhaus.
Routine maintenance, including regulation, voicing, and tuning.
Normal wear to hammers, keytops, felts, and other components due to use.
Electronic components not installed or endorsed by Klavierhaus (e.g., self-playing systems or aftermarket hardware).
Any alteration to the serial number, or presentation of falsified proof-of-purchase documents, shall void this warranty. This warranty is extended only to the Original Owner and is non-transferable.
Obtaining Warranty Service
To receive service under this warranty, please first contact Klavierhaus service representative. You may also reach out directly to our New York Service Department using the contact information below.Warranty service requests must include:
A detailed description of the issue,
The original sales invoice or proof of purchase, and
Confirmation that the instrument remains in the Warranted Area.
Should an instrument be submitted for service and found to be ineligible for warranty coverage, an estimate will be provided and any repair work will proceed only upon your written approval and arrangement for payment.
Limitations and Legal Rights
ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ARE LIMITED TO THE DURATION OF THIS EXPRESS WARRANTY.IN NO EVENT SHALL KLAVIERHAUS NEW YORK BE LIABLE FOR INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR SPECIAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF USE, PERFORMANCE INTERRUPTION, OR DAMAGE TO OTHER PROPERTY.Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts or exclusions of incidental or consequential damages. Accordingly, these limitations may not apply to you.This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may have other rights that vary from state to state. This is the sole express warranty provided by Klavierhaus New York. No employee, representative, or affiliate is authorized to offer any additional or alternative warranty on our behalf.

RESTORATIONS AGREEMENT
1. Detailed Scope of Work:
Restoration Services:
This agreement covers the comprehensive evaluation and restoration of the piano as outlined in the attached Work Order. The Work Order serves as a binding supplement to this estimate and details the specific components to be restored or replaced, including structural, mechanical, and cosmetic elements.
Cost Breakdown:
An initial estimate of parts and labor is provided, including a line-by-line breakdown of expected expenses for each major component of the restoration process. These estimates are based on preliminary assessments and may be adjusted as further inspection occurs.
2. Estimated Cost:
Total Estimated Cost:
The preliminary cost for the complete restoration is detailed in the accompanying Restoration Estimate. This includes standard materials, labor, and procedures required to complete the restoration as currently understood.
Price Variability:
The final price is subject to change due to:
Market fluctuations in material costs,
Additional labor required,
Unforeseen repairs or replacement needs discovered during the restoration process.
Any such changes will be documented and reflected in the final invoice. All significant changes will be communicated in advance.
3. Delivery Date:
Estimated Completion Time:
Restoration is expected to be completed within the timeframe specified in the Restoration Estimate, starting from the confirmed project start date.
Variable Delivery Date:
Delivery dates are estimates and may change based on:
Availability of specific parts,
Discovery of additional necessary work,
Delays in the supply chain.
Clients will be notified promptly of any anticipated delays.
4. Terms and Conditions:
Estimate Validity:
Estimates are valid for thirty (30) calendar days from the date of issuance. If not accepted within this period, a revised estimate may be issued to reflect updated costs or scheduling.
Approval and Payments:
All payments are due upon receipt of invoice unless otherwise agreed in writing. Tax assessed at time of invoicing
5. Additional Charges:
Unforeseen Repairs:
If additional repairs not outlined in the original scope become necessary, the client will receive a written notice includingcost implications. No additional work will proceed without prior written or email approval.
Transportation and Handling:
Transportation and handling services will be coordinated directly through Klavierhaus-authorized movers. These services are not included in the restoration estimate and will be quoted and billed separately by the authorized mover. Scheduling and logistics will be managed in direct communication with the client.
6. Additional Provisions
Limited Warranty:
Workmanship and materials are covered under a limited warranty for a period of 5 years from the date of delivery. This warranty excludes issues arising from misuse, environmental conditions, or damage occurring after delivery.
Liability Disclaimer:
Transportation and handling services will be coordinated directly through Klavierhaus-authorized movers. These services are not included in the restoration estimate and will be quoted and billed separately by the authorized mover. Scheduling and logistics will be managed in direct communication with the client.
Cancellation Policy:
In the event of cancellation by the client after work has begun, the client remains liable for all material costs and labor performed up to the date of cancellation.
Dispute Resolution:
Any disputes arising from this agreement shall first be subject to good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, disputes shall be submitted to mediation or binding arbitration in the jurisdiction of New York.
